Five Top Tips when Chartering a Helicopter.

Wishing you a happy and healthy New Year from all at Helitrip! To begin 2014, here are five handy pointers to save you time and money when chartering a helicopter for business or pleasure:

1. Return Trips: Depending on distance and timings, it can often be just as cost-effective to take a return helicopter flight.  Remember to ask for a price for return travel, along with your one way quotation.

2. Little Extras: Enquire about any extras can be added to your flight package which take the hassle out of arranging your trip. This could include a bottle of Champagne or a chauffeur driven car waiting for you at your destination.

3. Single Seats: Treating a loved one to a helicopter experience? Ask about single seat availability on pleasure flights. If they are happy to share the trip with other paying passengers, it can provide a large saving verses hiring the whole helicopter.

4. Executive Travel: If you are a regular business traveller, discounts are often available when using several helicopter hours over a period of time. Discuss your travel schedule and a reduced rate can often be negotiated.

5. Landing Flexibility: Unlike planes, helicopters are flexible enough to land almost anywhere. It’s always worth asking if you can be collected from your home or business premises to save valuable time travelling to your local airfield or helipad.
