Helitrip on the Radio!

 

Earlier today, a few members of the Helitrip team were interviewed by BBC Radio Shropshire.  

 

Ian Perry from the breakfast show visited our hanger at Sleap airfield to discover more about the business, find out how Helitrip began and take a closer look at our JetRanger helicopter.

Launch Day is a Flying Success!

The sun made a welcome appearance last Friday for the official launch of Helitrip. The event held at the Mytton & Mermaid Hotel in Shrewsbury was well-attended, with over 100 representatives from local businesses, together with The Mayor and Mayoress, Councillors and friends celebrating the exciting new business venture.

The Helitrip JetRanger landed in front of the hotel, providing a focal point for guests to explore on arrival with a glass of bubbly in hand.  This was followed by a brief presentation illustrating the time and cost-saving benefits of helicopter travel, a delicious lunch and informal drinks in the courtyard.

Yesterday was a busy day of photography for the Helitrip team. The sun made a welcome appearance for us to take some amazing shots of the Helitrip JetRanger with Iscoyd Park in Whitchurch and Mellington Hall in Powys as beautiful backdrops.

Meet the JetRanger!

The newest addition to the Helitrip fleet has arrived – a metallic blue Bell JetRanger206 helicopter.   With a 125mph cruise speed and 345 mile range, it’s the perfect aircraft for both corporate transfers and leisure trips.

The helicopter can carry four passengers with excellent visibility and boasts a luxurious mid-grey leather interior.  For maximum passenger comfort; the aircraft is equipped with noise reduction headsets, is fully heated and has ample leg room – all given the seal of approval by the taller and ‘nesh’ ladies in the Helitrip team on a recent flight!

There is also a large luggage compartment and a single step for easy boarding.  Here are a couple of snaps of the Jetranger in its new home in the Helitrip hanger at Sleap Airfield:
