Shropshire born and bred

The Helitrip team are all Shropshire-born and are lucky enough to call this beautiful county home.
As our Shropshire helicopter pleasure flights are so popular with both local residents and visitors alike, we thought we would share what makes Shropshire such a special place to live:

1. Countryside – If your weekends are happily spent walking, cycling or horse-riding, Shropshire is home to some of the UK’s most beautiful countryside, canals and rivers. The famous Shropshire Hills which include The Stiperstone, The Long Mynd, Wenlock Edge and The Wrekin is proudly an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’, perfect for wildlife spotters or those who are in search of some much needed R&R.

2. We also can’t forget to mention some of Shropshire’s most famous citizens including horticulturists Percy Thrower and David Austin, engineer Thomas Telford and War Poet Wilfred Owen.

4. Food & Drink– Proud to be producing numerous real ales, cider and wines in its vineyards and microbreweries, Shropshire serves its local tipples in numerous ‘proper’ pubs across the county. If quality local food is more your thing, indulge in organic produce from Pimhill Farm, freshly picked vegetables from Apley Farm, Market Drayton gingerbread or the delicious ‘Shropshire Blue’ cheese.
